BANGALORE: India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor and electronics systems, announced the winners of Technovation Awards 2009.

Amalendu Bhattacharyya, Professor, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University, Noida won the highest accolades with the TechnoVisionary Award. V Ramgopal Rao, IIT Bombay, is the recipient of the TechnoMentor award, while the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science Semiconductors Group, TIFR won the TechnoShield award.

Research scholars from IISc, Bangalore, IIT-Bombay and IIT-Madras were the other winners. Awards by Bangaloreit.biz were also given away in which the best state stall was won by Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. The best design award was won by Toshiba Embedded Software (India), Special recognition was given to InvestChile – CORFO. The most interactive stall was zoomin Softech and the exhibitor of the event was LG Business Solutions.

McMI systems won the second High Growth Small and Medium business unit award given by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
