BNAGLORE: Shourya is a re-make of Telugu film Shouryam. Director Sadhu Kokila, who also played a small character role during pre-intermission session, has followed the original version faithfully.

The USP of this film is that it has a lot of stunt sequences with the potential to keep the Darshan's fans happy throughout the film. The other advantage is punchy dialogues written by K V Raju. Darshan, as usual, excelled in stunt sequences and dialogue delivery.

Madalasa looks charming and Reema has provided a good support. While the former is good in dancing, the latter has proved her mettle to fill the vacuum created by Radhika, who was known for playing such roles. Mumaith Khan electrifies the audience for a few minutes with her dancing skills.

The movie is all about an Assistant Commissioner of Police Suryavamshi alias Surya (Darshan), who is on a mission to teach a lesson to Ravi Varma, an anti-social element, for killing police officer Sharath Chandra (Avinash).

Meanwhile, Surya  meets Swetha (Madalasa) and falls in love with her. Varma's henchmen attack Vedha (Reema). Swetha, surprised and scared of the events happening around her, questions Surya. At this juncture, director introduces a flashback sequence that explains how Surya and Vedha got separated during childhood and how he struggled to locate Vedha.

The climax is all about Surya teaching a lesson to Varma and how he moves on to save Vedha.

Sadhu Kokila's music is good. Bullet Prakash and Om Prakashrao have tried their best to make the audience giggle for a while during the post-intermission session.

Though it is an action-oriented flick, a few sequences make the movie a worth watch for families.
