BANGALORE: If you think you have heard it all in the Nithyananda case - about godmen and their alleged ungodly conduct - you are about to be surprised.
The Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha - an organisation that claims to protect the interest of Hindus - claims that Nithyananda was being framed by his former assistant.
"Even in the videos, the two haven't shared any objectionable relationship. It was aired with wrong intentions to malign the image of the spiritual leader," said Vasudeva Rao Kashyapa, president, Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) here on Saturday. "Two years back, Ranjitha had made a will where she had transferred a part of her property to Nithyananda."
Swami Nithyananda, now out on bail, has received "support" from the ABHM; they even held a protest in the city on Saturday, saying that Nithyannada was framed by K Lenin alias Nithya Dharmananda credited to have leaked the CD that showed an intimate video of the swami and the actress.
The Mahasabha has filed a complaint against Lenin in a Bangalore court asking that he be prosecuted for hurting religious sentiments, defiling a place of worship and cheating among other things.
The ABHM, which claims to have conducted its own investigation in the matter, said that Lenin has earned more than Rs 9 crore by selling the controversial CD.
Vasudev said: "When I found that this was an attack on Hindu leaders, I investigated and found that Lenin was accused in a counterfeit case, for pornography."
The ABHM president said Lenin was selling a magnetic bed for Rs 12,000 to Rs 25,000 claiming that the bed increased a person's "romantic senses". An advocate claims that Lenin is accused number eight in this case, verification is going on, Vasudev added.
He said that ABHM's investigation has revealed that Lenin was also involved in making a porn film.
