BANGALORE: As part of ongoing Bangalore International Film Festival, ‘Puttanna Kanagal-The Artistic Vision of a Popular Film Maker’ book was released on Sunday.
The book authored by film critic H N Narahari Rao, and film scholar M K Raghavendra contains detailed reviews of 15 films of Kanagal. Speaking on the occasion, Basavaraju, secretary, Kannada & Culture and Information, said, “This initiative aims to introduce works Kangal to the world. All the works done by Puttanna is a milestone in Kannada film industry.”
He also stated that the government is rectifying loopholes and is working towards the development of Kannada cinema. Veteran director T S Nagabharana, cine actors Bharati Vishnuvardhan, Padma Vasanti, Deputy Mayor S Harish were present.
