Set in the backdrop of Prakash Nagar in Bangalore, the story is about five friends (Vijaya Raghavendra, Naveen Krishna, Petrol Prasanna, Umesh Punga, Kuri Pratap) who are unemployed and are in need of money. They decide to hold the Ganesh Utsav and as part of that, they begin to collect money door to door. However, that is also the time for elections and the local rowdy Razor Raja (Gurudut) decides to conduct the Ganesh Utsav for mileage and votes. This leads to a clash between the friends and the goonda. However, they use their brain and put the rowdy behind bars. The Ganesh Utsav happens successfully but then Razor Raja comes out on bail and he decides to take revenge. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
