Post office built at a cost of Rs 20 lakh

BANGALORE: Home minister R Ashok inaugurated a new post office at Thyagarajanagar in Ward no 154. The event will be attended by Deputy Mayor Harish, local MLA Ravi Subramanium, local corporator B.S. Sathyanarayana and many opposition leaders as well.

An amount of Rs 20 lakh was sanctioned to build the post office. The residents were quite content with the initiatives they commented saying, “It is always helpful to have a post office in your locality. Earlier we had to go all the way to Basavanagudi, but now life will become easier for us.”

The event is not only limited to inauguration of the post office but also extent to promote some government welfare schemes. The officials will also issue vajpayee arogyasri cards to the local residents.
