BANGALORE: A five-month-old girl was killed and her mother was seriously injured in a hit-and-run case near Horamavu bridge on Monday night.
Srilakshmi, the baby girl, and her mother Shailaja were crossing the road to go to bus stop. An over-speeding Tata Sumo, which was coming from the opposite direction knocked down Shilaja, killing Srilakshmi on the spot. Passersby shifted them to the hospital, where the doctors declared the baby was brought dead while her mother suffered severe head injuries.
Shailaja, a native of Nayana Halli in Bangarapet taluk was going to the city to meet her relatives.
