‘KSCA misusing IPL passes'

From our online archive

BANGALORE: The issue of misuse of complimentary passes by the KSCA that had raked up controversy during World Cup cricket matches last year, has yet again come to the forefront. This time, Congress MLA from Ramdurg, P M Ashok has urged that a government officer be appointed to maintain transparency in the affairs of the KSCA.

“Even last year when the matter had been exposed, the government had assured that issue of misuse of passes by the KSCA would be resolved. Now, the KSCA has once again handled the matter in a shabby way. Legislatures wanted passes but KSCA has dealt with us with the same contempt like last time,” accused Ashok.

He said that the KSCA, being the staging association is provided with 8,000 passes and has distributed the passes to their kith and kin.
