BANGALORE: Opposition leader in BBMP Council M Udayshankar has urged Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to direct the ruling BJP to present a budget which is ‘close to reality’.

He said, “It looks like the BBMP does not have direction. The ruling party presented a Rs 9,315 crore budget in 2011-12 and spent only 36.49 per cent. But, during the Administrative Officer’s period, a Rs 3,959 crore budget was presented and the almost 92 percent of funds were spent on various works.”
