BANGALORE: Two corporators from the BBMP have filed a public interest litigation petition alleging that the state government was not following roster while fixing reservation for the mayor’s post.

The petitioners, Neelasandra corporator Lokesh Nayak and Byatarayanapura corporator Indira stated that during the selection for the Mayor’s post there is no rotation policy for the post, and in connection with the reservation for SC and ST, the rules and procedures were not followed from 1995 till date. They sought stay on the selection process for the mayor’s post, which was scheduled on April 26. The petition may come for hearing this week.
