BANGALORE: Writer Baragur Ramachandrappa on Thursday felicitated R Paramashivan, considered as a treasure trove of Kannada Rangageethegalu (theatre songs) and comedian Dingri Nagaraj at the valedictory of Dr Raj Chitrotsava, organised to mark the 84th birth anniversary of thespian Rajkumar.

“At 82, Paramasivan is still an everlasting youth with his voice and Nagaraj survives in the world of theatre.

The theatre culture is existing today because of such people,” Ramachandrappa said. “Dr Rajkumar was a folk leader who attained the highest position in the hearts of several people not because he was an actor but because of his cultural personality,” he observed. “Dr Raj achieved something which was unimaginable without economical, social, educational highness,” Ramachandrappa added.
