A 28-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. Her decomposed body was found at an isolated place on Hosapalya Road near Madiwala. Police suspect that she might have died four days ago, as stray dogs have bitten her palms.
The police said the reason for her death is yet to be ascertained and her identity is yet to be known. However, a man claimed that she was his wife, Shobha, after identifying her clothes.
Some youths, who were playing cricket near the spot noticed the body, when the ball landed near it and informed the police.
The Madiwala police, who have registered a case, are looking into all possible angels, including murder and suicide.
