Science conference for budding researchers

BANGALORE: A two-day national level science conference ‘synergy 2012’, was organised by Jyoti Nivas College on February 2 and 3 on its premises in Koramangala.

The aim of conducting the conference was to integrate the researchers from various disciplines of science from different parts of the country on a common platform to share their methodologies and findings with fellow researchers.

It also aimed at encouraging the younger generation to pursue

research work. On this occasion, Dr Josephine Chandy, vice principal of Jyothi Nivas College emphasised the importance of technology in the contemporary world.

In his speech, Dr Thimmappa Hegde highlighted the difference between science and spirituality.

Dr Thuppil Venkatesh, Dr Krishna Murthy, Srikumar Suryanarayan, Dr N Pradhan, Dr Tilagavathy Daniel, Dr J Sannappa and others were present at the event.

Speakers at the event,  covered several relevant topics which not only concerns the daily life but the future of mankind.

67 research papers and 13 posters were  presented by research students and teachers. 216 delegates from various colleges participated in the conference.
