Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Selaiyur, celebrated the ‘Silver Jubilee and Cultural Festo 2011-2012’ on their school premises recently.
Around 10,000 students and their parents attended the function which was presided over by Justice K Venkatraman. The chief guest distributed prizes to the high-performing students of the school.
R Srinidhi received the ‘Kalpana Chawla Award for the Best Student’. Vijay Ganesh, a Class 10 student, got the ‘Prodigy Award for Best Talent’ while N K Harish Raj, a world champion in mental maths, was awarded `20,000 in recognition of his abilities. Krish Abhishek, a state level gold medal winner in boxing, was felicitated.
State rank holders in Class 10 and 12 public exams were also honoured.
