BANGALORE: Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) played host to ace cricketer and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who visited the zoo and experienced the thrills of the park on Thursday.

“I saw crocodiles, tigers, bears and lions; the safari was amazing. The park authorities are doing a wonderful job,” Harbhajan told Express. He was taken on the safari, following which he visited the Butterfly Park. “We need collective effort to protect wildlife. It is good they have found a home here instead of a circus,” he said.

When asked whether he would adopt any animal in the park, Singh said, “I am ready to provide financial or any other assistance.” He added that cricketer Javagal Srinath had first raised the topic of adoption with him.

The cricketer admitted that though he had been to various parks and zoos in the country, this was his first visit to a biological park.
