ACREX India 2012: For a greener tomorrow

BANGALORE: The 13th edition of ACREX India exhibition, a two-day event, was inaugurated in Bangalore by Dr Prem Jain, chairman of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and R V Simha, founder member of ISHRAE, on Thursday.

ACREX India 2012, is organised to provide a platform for companies to showcase environmental- friendly, energy saving and sustainable products in air-conditioning, refrigeration and allied building services such as electrical, lighting, plumbing and water treatment to meet the ever growing demands.

“ACREX 2012 is the perfect platform for the launch of new innovative, sustainable and technological product for tomorrow. With domestic and international companies participating, the exhibition will be the biggest in South Asia,” said Pankaj Shah, co-chairman ACREX India.

ACREX 2012 with the theme ‘For a Greener Tomorrow’ is showcasing a live high performance home office.

At the exhibition, ‘Prana’, a fully functional energy efficient home office is setup by Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.

“In Prana, energy is tapped and the pattern is monitored with the help of energy efficient and environment friendly materials,” said Nirmal Ram, chairman of ACREX India.
