BANGALORE: National Conference on Emerging Trends in Mechanical Engineering, ETME 12 was organised by RajaRajeswari College of Engineering (RRCE) and the department of mechanical engineering recently on their premises.

The two-day national conference aimed at providing a common platform for academicians, scientists, research and development personnel, research scholars, practicing engineers and industry experts to share their ideas, thoughts and findings to ignite the young engineering minds and drive them towards excellence in mechanical engineering.

Dr R M Vasagam, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, Dr Murugesh Mudaliar, rector of RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions, Dr M S Bhagyashekar, principal of RajaRajeswari College of Engineering and others were present at the event.

On this occasion, A C Shanmugam, chairman of RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions said, “ The aim of this conference is to keep abreast of the emerging trends and developments in mechanical engineering and help our students acquire knowledge and prepare them to excel as professionals by providing a conducive atmosphere.”

Padmashri Dr R M Vasagam appreciating the initiative said, “Design and manufacturing are the main components of mechanical engineering. And when it is comes to music, mathematics or manufacturing, one should keep practicing and updating knowledge according to the changing times.”

The conference witnessed over 75 delegates from various colleges and was followed by cultural programmes like yoga session, instrumental music, group dance solo songs, mad ads, skits and group music.
