BANGALORE: City police celebrated the New Year at the police commissioner’s office on Sunday.

On the occasion, City Police Commissioner Jyothiprakash Mirji shared his resoultion for the year - to curb activities of rowdies and make the city more peaceful. “We have charted out plans to uproot illegal activities in the city,” Mirji said.

The number of accidents has come down by 20 per cent and crime rate too has decreased by 20-25 per cent. Mirji said 1,000 policemen have been appointed.
