BANGALORE: Tension prevailed in Gottigere off Bannerghatta Road on Saturday morning, when NICE company officials started demolishing a few sheds that erected on land belonging to the company. Police said that the land belonging to NICE was encroached, upon which a house and sheds were established. Opposing the demolition, locals engaged themselves in a verbal duel with the officials and expressed anger at not being provided any notice. However, police intervened and tried to pacify the seething agitators.
A few agitators were taken into custody and were released after the demolition drive was over.
