The Association of Computer Science Engineers of Sakthi Mariamman Engineering College, Thandalam, conducted its sixth annual national level technical symposium ‘SMEXCIAN 2012’ on the topic ‘Eradicate Earth’s E-waste’ on February 29 on the college premises.
Chief guest R Kumar, joint chief environmental engineer, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Chennai, and professor G Elangovan, president of the association and head of the CSE Department, inaugurated the meet. The chief guest along with Dr Vijaya Bhaskar Raju, principal, Sakthi Mariamman Engineering College, released the souvenir and CDs of the event.
Secretary of the association K Mohammed Shadiq welcomed the guests and the audience. Treasurer of the association R Preethi proposed the vote of thanks. K N Ramachandran, chairman, and R Raja Sekaran, vice chairman, presided over the symposium.
College students from across the country participated.
