BANGALORE: K P Jayaprakash, Scientist ‘C’ with the Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS), a DRDO lab in Bangalore, has been awarded the ‘Young Scientist Award 2011’ by Defence Minister A K Antony. The award - a citation and `1 lakh in cash - is given for his significant contributions in the field of Sensor Data Fusion for the indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system. Jayaprakash, an alumni of BMS College of Engineering, is already a recipient of Technology Group and National Science Day awards.
