BANGALORE: The transfer of a DCP and an ACP has apparently not gone down well in the police circles. The Karnataka Police Association has decided to appeal to the government and the DG & IGP to cancel the transfer orders. The association’s president Nagaraj, SP with Internal Security Division, said that the order had come as a shocker to the police fraternity.

“In the March 2 riots, more policemen were injured than the advocates. But government has transferred two officers only to please the advocates. The order demoralises  policemen,” he said adding that the association would appeal to the government and the state police chief to withdraw the transfer orders. Meanwhile, the police decided to ‘pressurise’ the government to cancel the transfer orders.
