BANGALORE: Over 2,200 contestants from 45 IT companies competed at recently concluded International Tech Park Bangalore’s (ITPB) annual healthy lifestyle Meet 2012.
The three-weeks sporting event saw a host of indoor, outdoor, health and fitness, and fun games that concluded with an award presentation ceremony.
Over 2,200 contestants from 45 IT companies participated in 13 sporting categories including outdoor sports like cricket, football, volley ball and throw ball and indoor games like carrom and chess among others.
An inter-corporate bowling match at Park Square Mall at ITPB was another key highlight for this year’s sporting challenge.
General Motors Technical Centre India won the coveted “Overall Champion of ITPB” trophy by winning in maximum number of categories which includes volley ball, throw ball, chess and health and fitness game categories.
First Advantage Offshore and Tata Consultancy Services were few other participating companies who competed closely with General Motors Technical Centre India for the trophy of Overall Champions.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of Ascendas India, Thomas Teo, said: “ITPB is celebrating its 15 years of Healthy Lifestyle Meet.
With more than 27,000 professionals working at our Park, the meet is set to grow even bigger in coming years.”
