Worker held for robbing couple

The CCB sleuths on Monday arrested a daily wage worker who allegedly was robbing people apparently influenced by newspaper reports.  He had purchased an air gun from Majestic and robbed a couple off a week ago.

 The accused has been identified as Rudresh,37, a native of Ramanagaram, who was working as labourer at Uttarahalli. He was keen on reading reports on robberies where lone women were the targets.

 Getting influenced by such reports, he had decided to be a robber and purchased an air gun for Rs 1,300. He was arrested when he was moving around suspiciously at KR Market, the police said.

 He entered a couple’s house and threatening the woman at gun point he ran away with cash and gold. Booty worth Rs 2 lakh has been recovered from him, said the police
