BU Registrar (Administration) B C Mylarappa on Wednesday lashed out at the NLSIU over the alleged rape of a law student.Speaking to reporters after a meeting convened to discuss security arrangements on Jnana Bharathi campus, Mylarappa said, “I warned all the colleges to ensure safety of their students residing on the campus. All the stakeholders agreed to cooperate with the BU,” he said.
BU officials also took a dig at the NLSIU authorities for not giving sufficient importance to the security of their students. “It is a black dot on the university because of NLSIU students,” complained an officer. The university also hinted at cancellation of their lease agreement with NLSIU if they failed to provide security to students .
