Sree Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha, the organisers of the  Bengaluru Ganesh Utsav is celebrating this year’s festival by preparing a Laddu, touted to be the biggest of its kind. This 6,000 kilo grams laddu is a mixture of 1,500 kgs dal, 1,700 kgs ghee, 500 kgs dry fruits and 2,400 kgs sugar. More than 100 people are involved in the process of preparing the Laddu. The Laddu will be kept on display at Mallikarjuna temple on September 19. “We started preparing the Laddu on September 15. This huge laddu will be distributed as Prasadam to one and all who participate in the event after the first day,” said the spokesperson of the organisation. The organisation is approached the Guinness and Limca book or records to consider this unique Laddu for National and international recognition. “The Guinness Book has accepted our feat and have asked us to submit details like the number of workers, the ingredients used and certain other details,” said the spokesperson.
