BANGALORE:  RCB’ Chris Gayle, hitting the maximum number of sixers this time, was also on a different pitch. He actively participated in promoting a Kannada film, Khiladi Kitty. The cricketer made his presence felt at the audio release and agreed to be part of a few promotional activities.

Actress Haripriya, who danced with  Gayle at the audio launch told, “I am not a follower of cricket and I never thought that I would meet Gayle this way. I was lucky to shake a leg with him during the audio launch and he’s very amazing. This is the first time, a star cricketer took his time out to be part of a Kannada film. After, Gayle’s scintillating  presence during the promotions, I have started following a little bit of cricket and I was excited to know, he had hit 13 sixes in one match.”

Kitty, the hero of Khiladi Kitty too doesn’t follow cricket in any way. But was floored by Gayle’s gesture. “I taught him a few words in Kannada -- Namaskara, Naanu Chris Gayle. Though, he is an international figure, he is a down to earth person and very humble,’’ says Kitty.

Actress, Niveditha, who is part of Khiladi Kitty, says, “I admire Chris for his achievements. It was because of our producer, Shivakumar, we could get associated with this cricket star. Gayle was constantly updated, what he should do every minute and every second.’’
