Kunigal Nagabhushan no more

Veteran dialogue writer and director Kunigal Nagabhushan passed away here on Saturday night following prolonged illness.

He entered the Kannada film industry in 1964, as an assistant director for the film, Nandi. In the 1970s, he directed films like Baalu Jenu and Ashirvada. He directed a  few films and one among them was a Kannada film with Rajinikanth.

He later wrote dialogues for movies. His first film as a dialogue writer was Simhaswapna.  He wrote dialogues for more than 200 films and also earned the title ‘Navarasa Visharada’.

The actor-director-writer had his right leg amputated due to gangrene and was under bed rest for nearly two years.
