Mestripalya Lake to be rejuvenated

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)  Commissioner Siddaiah said that Mestripalya Lake in Koramangala would  be developed in the next three months and would be opened to public.

A release from the BBMP said that the commissioner had convened a meeting on Wednesday with the BDA, Forest Department and BWSSB officials to discuss the measures to develop the lake by June. He said the tender process for the lake development would be complete within a week.

The release said that the bidder would be asked to complete the works within three months.

The lake is spread over 11 acres, of which three acres have been encroached, the release said.
