Bangalore Club for Kathakali & the Arts (BCKA), in association with Kairalee Kala Samithi, is organising a grand Kathakali performance on November 23 at 5.45pm at Kairalee Nilayam Auditorium, Vimanapura, HAL. The story of Nalacharitham will be presented by some of the most popular and promising artistes from Kerala.

BCKA was formed four years back with the main purpose of reviving traditional arts from Kerala and Karnataka. Since, BCKA has presented over 30 programmes. In addition, BCKA also promotes inter-state cultural events by presenting Yakshagana in Kerala performed by Shivananda Hegde and his troupe. In this, BCKA is supported by Karnataka Department of Culture and Arts. Yakshagana and Kathakali have also been presented on the same stage for Bangalore audiences.

BCKA also supports various NGOs as part of its charitable activities every year.

Kairalee Kala Samithi is a socio-cultural organisation working in the field of education since six decades. It established the Kairalee Nilayam Central School in Vimanapura.
