GIMDS college felicitates students

A felicitation programme was organised at GIMDS College for outgoing degree students recently.

Vinayak Bhat, Senior Manager, Triton Valves was the chief guest. He addressed the students on how the industry selects and offers jobs to candidates.

He said that there was no dearth of jobs but of skills. He further praised the management and staff for molding the students in an industry competent way.

Sudheer Shetty, Chairman, Labland, Mysore was the guest of honor.

He stated that students must look beyond academic subjects, especially on how to apply the gained theoretical knowledge. He gave his own example of how he was able to establish Labland, by applying the theoretical knowledge he gained. And how it has become a strong company, rendering jobs to 175 employees and making transactions in crores of rupees.

Rajeeva B S principal, Lakshmi Hayagreeva College stated that the students must develop a flexible attitude and the capacity to understand the management’s expectations  to become successful in professional life.

All the outgoing students were felicitated and a graduation shield was presented to them.

Mahesha A S, Principal, GIMDS College said that every student should leave with good memories and opined that this was only possible through good discipline, good score in the examinations, good participation in extracurricular activities and good behavior with others.
