'KSPCB office not disabled-friendly'

After being appointed as commissioner for the disabled last month, K S Rajanna paid a surprise visit to the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) for the first time after taking charge.

The Commissioner found the KSPCB building lacking a ramp, toilets and parking facilities for the disabled.

Vaman Acharya, chairperson of the KSPCB promised that facilities for the disabled would be set up soon. He also said of the 150 new recruits this year, six posts will be reserved for the differently-abled.
