A two-wheeler rider, was assaulted by four bike-borne miscreants near Veerabhadra junction on NICE Road. The incident took place on Tuesday evening, around 10 pm, when H Dinesh Shetty (27) was returning from his brother’s house in Vijayanagar after inviting him for his house-warming ceremony. The miscreants attacked him with weapons, manhandled him, tore his pant pockets and made away with `33,000 and a gold chain. Shetty approached the toll booth for help. They informed his family and friends, who then took him to a nearby hospital. A complaint has been filed with the Girinagar police, who are on the lookout for the miscreants.
