BANGALORE: Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil on Friday announced that Victoria Hospital in the city will soon get a block dedicated to treating trauma victims.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a cleft clinic at Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojane super specialty hospital on the Victoria Hospital campus.
He said the trauma block would house the casualty department, which is currently operating out of the burns ward. He also visited the under-construction trauma block and urged the Public Works Department to speed up the work.
The newly-set up cleft clinic will have a consultation room, a prosthodontics room and a speech therapy room.
