Simple DIY Paper Earrings

BENGALURU: Things you need

•    Yellow and red strips of 3mm quilling paper
•    Four googly eyes
•    2 jump rings
•    2 earring hooks
•    Glue
•    Modpodge

Step 1

Take two yellow strips of quilling paper and role them tightly to form a coil and glue the end. This will form the head of the duck, Later, take four yellow strips and roll them  tightly to form a coil and glue the end. This will form the body.

Step 2

Take one yellow strip and role it into a coil. After gluing the end pinch it to form a oval shape.

Step 3

Make three such pieces to form the tail of the duck. Take a yellow strip and roll it into a lose coil and glue the end. Pinch it to form an oval shape. This will be the wing. To make the beak, take a quarter-length red strip and roll it into a lose coil. After gluing ends fold it in half.

Step 4

Now glue all these pieces together. Take two quarter-length yellow strip and roll it separately into two tight coil. Glue this to the head of the duck so that you can attach the jump ring and hook to it. Once the duck is glued together and dries completely, apply a generous amount of modpodge and let it dry. Applying modpodge will give a little strength to the earring and also provide a very slight resistance from water.
