Chemical-free Sunflower Oil Launched

Express News Service

BENGALURU:An agro company, MK Agrotech Pvt Ltd, on Saturday launched an edible oil brand that the company claims is India’s first chemical-free processed sunflower oil.

Imran Khan, the managing director, “Conventional refining uses non-edible caustic, mineral-based phosphoric acid, soap absorbents, and mineral oil for heating. Not only does this process remove natural vitamins but it steals the natural goodness and taste of the cooking oil.”

He said that no synthetic additives were added during the processing of Sunpure,  and that there was zero discharge of effluents while refining it. The process of refining uses energy from windmills. MK Agrotech has an interest in edible oil refining, power generation and real estate.
