BENGALURU: The Federation of University College Teachers’ Associations in Karnataka (FUKTAK) has withdrawn its threat to boycott evaluation work at Bangalore University (BU).

Demanding fulfillment of their long-pending demands, the federation had announced that its members will boycott the ongoing evaluation work at BU from Wednesday. However, following a meeting with Higher Education Minister T B Jayachandra on Monday, the federation decided to call off the strike.

Federation president H Prakash told Express, “The Higher Education Minister held a meeting with us on Monday and promised to fulfil our demands within the next two months.” He added that the evaluation work will not be affected.
