KSEEB to Award Grades in SSLC

Express News Service

BENGALURU: Students who are appearing for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (SSLC) in March 2015 will get grades on their marks cards instead of class.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has decided to award grades instead of classes, which is in practice now.

The copy of the order, which is with Express, recommends to the government to implement the grading system from the March 2015 exams itself.

Reacting to this, a senior official of the board, said, “We had submitted the proposal in June/July and the government approves it.”

As per the decision, the grades will be A+, A, B+, B, C+ and C. Earlier, students would be awarded classes — distinction, first class, second class and pass class.
