Bangalore Boy Selected for International Chemistry Olympiad

Ameet S Deshpande has been selected for the International Chemistry Olympiad after four rounds of practical and theory examinations.

BENGALURU: Ameet S Deshpande, a student of AECS Magnolia Maaruti Public School and FIITJEE, Bengaluru, has been selected for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)after four rounds of practical and theory examinations.

The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), based out of Bratislava in Slovakia, is an annual competition for chemistry students at the secondary school level.

“My interest in Chemistry and the effective coaching of FIITJEE gave me this opportunity,” said the ecstatic youngster. He said that for him, the greatest inspiration came from the exposure he got at the orientation camps and from meeting his counterparts from across the country. Ameet said he was reading from various books after school work to brush up on “organic chemistry, especially”.
