Tenders for Elevated Corridor Soon

Express News Service

BENGALURU: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will soon invite tenders for the proposed 6.7 km-long elevated corridor linking Basaveshwara Circle (Chalukya Circle) and Hebbal Junction. The six-lane corridor, when completed, will reduce travel time to Kempegowda International Airport from Vidhana Soudha by 20 minutes.

“The BDA board has approved the detailed project report on the project slated to cost `1,350 crore,” said BDA Engineer Member P N Nayak. The corridor will merge with the Hebbal flyover. The project is likely to be completed in two years and is being jointly funded by the Centre, State and BDA. Work orders are likely to be issued within three -four months, Nayak said.
