Accused Arrested in Coles Road Double Murder Case

Bengaluru police arrested an accused and another person in connection to the couples murder.

BENGALURU: In connection to the double murder case of a couple on Coles road, Bengaluru which reported two days ago, the City Police have arrested an accused and another person is absconding.

According to the police, the arrested has been identified as Premchand Jain (35), a resident K G Halli. The person who is absconding is Chandashekar (36). Police said, “Premchand was friend of the victims Parvathraj and Chandra kala since 15 years. He had taken loan from Parvathraj many times. On 22 April, the accused have approached Chandrakala to lend loan. Chandrakala had said that if they pledge jewelries only then she can give loans. Enraged by it, Premchand and Chandrashekar using knife have stabbed the couple multiple times. Later, they had locked house from outside and had fled from the spot taking Rs 50 thousand cash and jewelries. After inquiring locals and analyzing CCTV footages, police arrested the accused.

Police said, 6 teams were formed in to nab the accused.

Parvatha Raj (60) and Chandrakala (55) and whose dead body was found in their house on Sunday. The only son of the couple, Kiran who is working as an engineer in USA has returned to Bengaluru on Tuesday morning.
