CM Launches Namma Metro Underground Corridor Train in Vidhana Soudha

BENGALURU: The first ever Metro train bearing non Metro staff to run along the Underground Corridor chugged off from Dr B R Ambedkar Metro station (Vidhana Soudha) at 6.35pm on Friday.

Union Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development, Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah flagged it off by remote from Vidhanasouda.

Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Ananth Kumar, Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, K J George, Minister for Bengaluru Development and Town Planning, Kagodu Thimmappa, Speaker of Legislative Assembly, B N Manjunath Reddy, Mayor, BBMP, D H Shankaramurthy, Chairman, Karnataka Legislative Council P C Mohan, MP, H E Francois Richier, France Ambassador, H E Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Japan, Kenji Hiramatsu and nine more State Ministers and 6 MPs were on board. A huge contingent of media personnel from Karnataka and all over India also were on board to cover the historic event. It covered a distance of 4.8 kms.
