Deshmukh Dishendra, a Bengaluru-based techie, was allegedly assaulted by a ticket collector for carrying his foldable bicycle at the cantonment railway station. The ticket collector reportedly claimed that carrying the foldable cycle was against the luggage rule.

In his Facebook post on Tuesday, Deshmukh alleged that the ticket collector demanded a fine of Rs 300 which was 6 times higher than the actual fare i.e. Rs 60. After receiving the fine, the ticket collector refused to issue receipt for the same as she did not know the exact amount of fine according to the rules.

After the argument escalated, Deshmukh called her corrupt and said would do anything to teach them a lesson.

Following this, the ticket collector allegedly called a railway constable to lock Deshmukh up after which he was stripped and beaten up.

Deshmukh elaborated the incident on his Faceook post, "She demanded 300 rupees. I told her even if it is Rs 1000 I will pay but I need the receipt. She presented same excuse that she doesn't know the luggage rules. At last I lost my patience and started to call her corrupt. After which she slapped me, pushed me and called her police constable colleague to take me to the jail for misbehavior. He took me to the jail and started beating me. His other colleagues joined him, they undressed me and started beating me with hand, leg and sticks 5 people at a time."
