Bengaluru woman gang-raped in front of husband, three arrested

BENGALURU: A 28-year-old housewife was gangraped in front of her husband by three men in Hullahalli village of Anekal taluk on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday night. Based on the description given by the survivor, Bannerghatta police have arrested Raju, Mani and Vinod, all aged around 25. The trio hail from Tamil Nadu and were working in a poultry farm in Hullahalli.

According to police, the three accused barged into the woman’s house on Tuesday night and assaulted her husband. The gang allegedly threatened him at knife-point and reportedly raped the woman, taking turns.
The couple’s child was also a witness to the incident. The woman was rescued by locals and was rushed to a hospital.

“The woman is in trauma and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Based on her statement, the youths were arrested on Thursday. Both the accused and the survivor have been subjected to medical tests,” police added.
