Special train to clear festive rush

BENGALURU: To clear the extra rush during Ganesh Chaturthi, the Railways will run a special train, the Yesvantpur - Belagavi - Yesvantpur Special.According to an official release, the Yesvantpur - Belagavi Special (Train no. 06583) will depart from Yesvantpur at 8.15 pm on August 24 (Thursday) and reach Belagavi at 8.10 am on Friday. In the return direction, the Belagavi-Yesvantpur Special (Train no. 06584) will leave Belagavi on August 27 (Sunday) at 5.20 pm and reach Yesvantpur at 5 am on Monday. It will stop at Tumakuru, Arisikere, Birur, Davangere, Harihar, Haveri, Hubballi, Dharwad and Londa in both directions. It will run on special fare, the release said without specifying the exact amount. The train will have 22 coaches comprising two AC 3-tier coaches, 18 general second class coaches and two luggage vans.

Ernakulam-Banaswadi Suvidha Special

To clear rush between the City and Ernakulam, the Railways will run the Ernakulam-Banaswadi Suvidha Special (Train no. 82615) on September 3 and October 1. The Ernakulam-Banaswadi Weekly Special train (Train no. 06401) will be run as the Suvidha train on the two days.

Vaniyambadi stoppage

The Chennai - KSR Bengaluru - Chennai AC Double Decker Express (Train no. 22625/22626) will have stoppage at Vaniyambadi until further notice.
