BENGALURU: The proceedings to secure VK Sasikala and two others by the trial court in the city have been shifted to Parappana Agrahara, on the outskirts of the city.

The Karnataka High court on Wednesday issued a notification to the effect in view of security considerations. Sasikala and the other two convicted in the assets case, VN Sudhakaran and J Ilavarasi have left Chennai for Bengaluru. They are expected to reach the city between 4 and 5 pm and surrender before the court.

Judge Ashwathanarayana will then pass an order to send the convicted to the Central Prisons at Parappana Agrahara.

Meanwhile, the City Civil Court has received the copy of the order of conviction by mail from the Supreme Court. After this, the same was communicated to the High Court which in turn issued the notification.
