BENGALURU: Candidates appearing for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations in March/April 2017 should reach the examination centre by 9.30 am. If not, they will not be allowed to write the examination, according to a communication issued by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB).
It said, “Candidates must be inside the examination hall between 9.15 am and 9.30 am and those who enter after 9.30 am will not be entertained.”
All these years, the board used to allow even those who came half an hour late. “We used to allow candidates up to 10 am. But from this year, to maintain transparency and to avoid question paper leak incidents, we have taken this decision,” said Yashoda Bopanna, director KSEEB.
This year, at all examination centres, the first bell will ring at 9.15 am sharp as a warning to students to get inside the hall. After the first bell, the room supervisors will distribute the answer booklets.
The second bell will ring at 9.25 am and after the second bell the Chief Superintendent and Custodian of the examination centre will hand over the question paper bundles to room supervisors. At 9.30 am a final bell will be rung and question papers will be distributed to students.
