CHENNAI: No extra facilities have been extended to VK Sasikala, the interim general secretary of AIADMK, who has been lodged at the Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara in Bengaluru, the prison’s Chief Superintendent has said in reply to a query under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

In response to a query from advocate MP Rajavelayutham dated Feb 20, the prison officer, in his response dated Feb 23, also said no application has been received to transfer her and other accused to the central prison in Chennai.

To another question, the officer said TTV Dinakaran was allowed to talk to Sasikala for a short period of time as per Karnataka Prison Manual.

To a specific question as to whether she was provided with extra facilities like a cot, mattress, TV, radio, fan, AC, water heater, and a separate bathroom,  he replied in the negative.
