BENGALURU: Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the city on Sunday is likely to result in traffic snarls across the central district as a large number of people are expected to attend his rally in the evening at Palace Grounds. Earlier in the day, Rahul is scheduled to attend events at Jakkarayana Kere and

Jnana Jyothi auditorium before proceeding to Palace Grounds for the rally.
In order to control traffic, the Bengaluru traffic police has put in place certain restrictions. Parking arrangements have been made at Mavinkai Mandi, Circus ground and Main Palace Grounds. VIP cars with passes can enter the Tripura Vasini grounds and the general public attending the rally can enter from the Main palace ground.

Buses carrying participants will be parked inside Circus grounds and Mango Mandi grounds. About 300 cars with passes will be allowed through Krishna Vihar Gate 1A to park at Tripura Vasini ground. Two-wheelers can park at Tennis pavilion.

Parking of vehicles will be banned at Ramana Maharshi Road, Sri C V Raman Road, Bellary Road, from Hebbal flyover, HQTC & Mehkri Circle, Jayamahal Road, Taralabalu Road, MV Jayaram Road, Palace Road, Palace Cross Road, R T Nagar Main, PRTC Junction to Water Tank Junction, Old Airport Road, Cubbon Road and at Chalukya Circle, a traffic advisory said.
