CHENNAI: Claiming that Naam Tamizhar president Seeman had received a threat letter, activists of the party on Wednesday sought action against culprits.

In a petition to the City Commissioner of Police, party coordinator Shahul Hamid said the letter written in English by R Ramgopal  from Shanmughapuram in Puducherry warned Seeman not to support the LTTE.

It demanded the disbanding of his party and asked him not to oppose ‘Maveeran Rajapaksa.’

Stating that he should extend his support to the Central and State governments, it asked him to desist from indulging in any revolutionary activity in Pudukottai. The signatory also claimed that he had murdered Muthukumar a functionary of Naam Thamizhar party.

Shahul Hamid sought an investigation into the threat and suitable action against the culprits.
